Local Ladies Sinead Neylon
and Anne Hayes are part of the Comhaltas Seisiun taking place every Wed. in the Teach Cheoil, Kilrush during the months
of Aug. at 9p.m.The sesiun
consists of an hour long show followed by an informal session at which the
audience takes part. Sinead dances in the show and Anne is on vocals, bodhran & guitar.

Irish Summer Camp for Primary
School Students. Learn
Irish through fun at the Kilmihil lrish
Camp in association with Conradh na
Gaelige. 3 Day Camp 4th, 5th
& 6th Aug. at Kilmihil Community
Centre from 10am.- 2pm. each day. Activities include Music, Song, Art &
Craft, Drama and Games. Fluent speakers will encourage students to talk Irish
while having a fun-time. This is a fun filled camp which aims to cater for
Infants beginning to learn Irish through to students in 6th class.

Certificate in Applied Social Studies (with a focus on housing) This
course is designed to introduce students to concepts of sociology and social
studies and will do so with a particular focus on housing. It
provides students with an understanding of housing policy, legislation and
practice, an opportunity to practice skills necessary for housing and community
work, core themes in social housing (including tenure types, tenant
participation and housing finance), exploration of concepts of community and
community development, an analysis of homelessness and an introduction to key
legislation in this area. It also includes modules on interculturalism,
communications and applied psychology.
